Mahira Khan Powerful Come-back On TV After 6 Years !!

Written by the acclaimed writer Umera Ahmed, one of the most anticipated dramas of the year is “Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay”. The first episode aired recently and it has created already a lot of buzzes as we’ve got Pakistan’s most favorite actress “Mahira Khan” in it.

Mahira khan’s tv come-back has occurred after 6 years. Her last project was “Sadqay Tumhare” Which was aired back in 2014.

“Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, The Novel Story”:

The drama is based upon Umera Ahmed’s popular novel, which was published in the ’90s in one of the famous digests. Talking about the novel, it begins with the “Aswad”‘s character’s point of view. His perspective about his two cousins ” Mehreen” & “Mashal” which are central characters too.

But in the middle of the story, the readers came to know about what the actual reality is.

From “Mehreen’s character, played by Mahira Khan, we come across what she’s going through. As from what she’s been already brutally disturbed, her complexes, her perspective about her life, and every other person included who doesn’t like her.

She had her own valid justification. And Mashal, played by Kubra Khan was the one who created all this mess. Her venom and jealousy towards Mehreen ruined up everything.

What story has to serve is indeed interesting:

The story was all about we should never judge a book by its cover. There’s always must be a lot into the reality. We should research, discover the truth before passing any judgment towards anyone over anyone’s physical appearance.

We should not think about anyone’s character over their behavior with everyone.

It could be anything, maybe they are going through a lot in their life. Maybe all they need Is love and positive attention, we should never be so quick in taking big decisions.

It could be very dangerous. It can demolish not only your life, but the people included in your life will also get affected by this.

The novel was interestingly short and crisp. However, the drama adaptation has so many changes into the actual plot I guess because they have to make it in detail.

It has to be 25 to 30 episodes long duration so maybe that’s why it was necessary.

Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, The Drama Adaptation:

Mahria Khan Hum Kahan Ke Sachy thay

From the beginning episode, we have already seen the trauma from which Mehreen’s character has been through. So now the nature of every character is clear like crystal, which can be good too.

Because it was obvious, the majority already knew the story. If, not the story then the actual or main theme for sure.

That it’s going to be a sister rivalry kind of thing. Everyone from trailers and teasers was judging about it that we should bring something new instead of this ghissa pitta topic.

Surprisingly, the first episode proved everyone wrong, as it was different and something else, beyond sister rivalry….

It was about three children who are cousins, who are connected with each other. They were good friends in their childhood, but with the passage of time, they became different…

They got separated, they pursued their own interests, developed their own thoughts thinking about each other. That’s why their unity got ruined.

Hum kahan ke Sachy thay drama cast:

Mahria Khan‘s Character in the story ” Hum Kahan Ke Sachy Thay”:

Mahira Khan stands out in the beginning episode for sure! Her persona, her screen presence, body language, it was all really impactful and understandable I would say.

In the novel, her character was written like she’s not really a beautiful, average-faced kind of brown girl. But dramatization of it completely changed the narrative of Mehreen’s physical appearance.

It was problematic for me when I saw the teasers, but I’m glad after watching the episode. I’m really much convinced about the character’s detail as it was very fine and not objectionable.

The child artist who played the younger Mehreen was also brilliant and believe able in her actions.

Kubra Khan’s Character in Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay:

Kubra Khan nailed with her expressions and actions without saying anything. It was quite obvious she’s jealous as hell of her cousin Mehreen.

Mashal’s behavior was also justified from her childhood days. It was her mother and the behavior of everyone which made her just like the way she is…!

Her reason for getting jealous of Mehreen was so much understandable! And the performance was chilling too…

Will Kubra Khan would be able to do justice with her character?

The novel readers know already what she’s going through and what she’s going to do, or to what extent she can fall into. These all are very interesting queries and would be really fun watching Kubra doing the psychopathic things.

I’m damn sure she’s gonna kill it with her negative performance.

Her last project was Alif, in which she played “Husn e Jahan” mesmerizingly! It was also written by Umera Ahmed’.

Her character isn’t a lead, but very special. I would say, would be a spice for the whole drama.

From the novel, Mashal died in between the middle of the story. I am very curious that how they are going to show her character till last.

Because it would become really boring seeing only two characters, there must be a change in the script.

I’m hoping it should be a positive one, not flawed like the previous drama adaptations which seriously disappointed all the novel readers. They ruined their imagination about the story’s execution and the cast’s physical appearances.

Usman Mukhtar’s Role in the Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay:

Lastly, we’ve got our third main lead Usman Mukhtar, his screen presence was less in the beginning episode but the scene was really good and his performance was fine too.

The direction of drama is appreciable, Farooq Rind without any doubt is one of the best drama executors we have.

OST of the Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay:

The Ost is already playing into everyone’s head like I’m obsessed with it. Sung beautifully by Yashal Shahid. Composition by the very talented Azaan Sami Khan and the song’s use in the drama was adding much impact into the scenes too.

Really looking forward to the next episode, hope so it would become a game-changer drama for hum tv. Mahira Khan has always been the lucky charm of the channel, it’s also airing on Sundays so TRP would be the highest for sure.

Do let us know what did you guys think of the drama?
